Elm Hurst Inn Wedding featuring Floral Occasions

When Trish and I got married almost 6 years ago we had 5 photographers at our wedding.  Not unusual for a photographer getting married but have you ever wondered what a wedding is like when the bride’s mom owns a floral shop?  Well the bride didn’t have diamonds on the souls of her shoes (that would be for the daughter of a jeweler, I imagine) but she definitely walked on rose petals.

You may remember Jess and Greg from their engagement session by the Thames River.  Again, there was great colour from the wild flowers that were in bloom.  If you are local you also may recognize Jess and Greg as local celebrities.  Not to long ago wedding merchants in Ingersoll started up a group to promote Ingersoll as a wedding planning destination.  We thought it would be fun to feature a couple that pretty much planned their whole wedding Ingersoll. Beyond having their story featured on the Ingersoll Wedding Group’s website (under construction) they where featured in our local magazine, “Here In Ingersoll”.  The magazine has followed them over the last year as they planned their wedding.  The last issue will be out soon featuring the results of a years works with their wedding at The Elm Hurst Inn and Spa.  In all the issues Trish photographed them meeting with the Girls at WeddingFavours.ca, applying for their wedding license at the town hall, which anyone can get for FREE in Ingersoll (Call me for details (519) 425-1249), picking out flowers and arrangements at Jess’s Mom’s Flower shop, Floral Occasions, picking out a gown at Sew Stylish Wedding Works and so many other great vendors.

Needless to say the wedding was outside on a beautiful day with floral arrangements abound and an aisle that had more rose petals than we have ever seen before.
